River of Grace offers one-week sabbatical retreats for individuals and families dealing with crisis situations, such as grief, stress, and marriage challenges. Our facility is on 20 acres near Buena Vista, Colorado. Within that facility we have a two-bedroom condo-style unit that we offer for retreat lodging free of charge to the participant, however we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and accept donations for long-term sustainability.

We offer self-guided sabbatical retreats in a condo-like facility in a wilderness setting in the Colorado mountains. Activities include fishing, climbing, rafting, hiking, biking, off-road exploration, watching wildlife and stargazing.

HB Ruby is a Colorado non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, d.b.a. River of Grace. Individuals dealing with crisis situations are welcome, and include pastors, church workers, and congregations. Military families dealing with the stress and challenges of military service are also welcome. Individuals seeking a sabbatical retreat should submit a referral form from their Pastor, District President, employer, doctor, or counselor. Individuals will be selected for retreats based on need, and those with greater needs will be prioritized and matched to facility availability. Our retreats are self-guided, and no counseling is provided. Meals and transportation are the responsibility of the recipient. We provide a location for relaxation and reflection. Fishing, climbing, rafting, hiking, biking, and off-road activities are all directly accessible from the facility. Elevation is 8000 feet, so nights are cool even in the summer.
