Service and Support

Under the Services and Support label, you will find three sub-categories: Organizations, Coaches, and Consultants. These three diverse sub-categories are united to provide goods and services that support vibrant, mission-focused faith life and ministry. These listings connect people to ministries that empower them to achieve greater mission effectiveness. In addition, they create connection opportunities across ministries for collaborative projects. The tabs below provide a short description of each of the sub-categories.

Organizations Coaches Consultants

Organizations

This category contains a diverse group organizations that provide goods and services that support faith development of the individual, healthy congregational ministry, or mission activity. The listings help connect people with organizations that can support them in faith and ministry. The listings encourage organizations to form collaborative networks.

Mission organizations can provide much of the training, accountability, resources, and on-field guidance for missionaries to be effective in various areas of ministry. Every mission organization is going to look different in how they interact with the missionary.

Coaches

MIT Human Resources department makes the following observation about coaching:

In a performance management cycle, coaching means providing ongoing feedback and support to the employee throughout the year. Coaching gives the employee an opportunity to hear about aspects of his or her performance in "real time" and to play a role in figuring out how to best adopt or modify their behavior for success. Concordia Market provides a listing of women and men who have completed formal training and in most cases, certification to be performance coaches. They specialize in the ministry environment.

Consultants

The role of management consultants is often shrouded in mystery. Ultimately, consultants provide solutions to business & organizational problems. They provide an objective and external perspective using data, frameworks, and industry insight. Consultants inform clients on what the data says is the best strategic decision. Oftentimes, the recommendations are different from what the client would rather hear. These clients include businesses, institutions, and organizations.
